How Victorian Lending Solutions collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information, and how you can access or correct it.
Effective 8 September 2026
Who this policy covers
Victorian Lending Solutions Pty Ltd (ACN 698 345 498) trades as Victorian Lending Solutions. We arrange finance as a credit representative — Credit Representative Number 000580024 — under the Australian Credit Licence of National Mortgage Brokers Pty Ltd (Australian Credit Licence 391209).
This policy covers the personal information we collect through this website. Once you engage us to arrange finance, information is also handled under our licensee's privacy arrangements and by the lenders an application is submitted to. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect through this website
The enquiry form on our contact page is the only place this website collects personal information. When you submit it we receive:
- your name
- your phone number
- your email address
- the type of lending you are enquiring about
- whatever you choose to write in the message field
Technical information collected with an enquiry
Three technical details are stored alongside an enquiry, for security and for answering questions about a submission later: the page you submitted from, your browser's user-agent string, and the time of submission.
We also store a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address, salted with a secret value. We use it for one purpose only — to count how many submissions have come from the same address in the past hour, so the form cannot be used to flood our inbox. We do not store your IP address itself, and the hash cannot be reversed to recover it.
This website sets no cookies, and we currently run no analytics, advertising or tracking software of any kind. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the change goes live.
Why we collect it
We collect this information to respond to your enquiry, to assess how we may be able to assist you, and to keep a record of enquiries we have received. If you go on to engage us, we will collect a great deal more — identification, income evidence, assets and liabilities, and details of any security property — and we will tell you what we need and why at that point.
You do not have to give us your real name or contact details, but we cannot respond to an enquiry without a way of contacting you.
Where it is stored, and overseas handling
Enquiries are stored in Microsoft Azure, in Microsoft's Australia East region. Notification emails are sent through Microsoft's Australian communication services and delivered to our business mailboxes.
One part of the path is overseas. Microsoft does not offer its static web hosting service in any Australian region, so the website itself — and the component that receives your form submission before writing it to Australian storage — runs in Microsoft's East Asia region. Your enquiry therefore passes through infrastructure operated by Microsoft outside Australia before it is stored in Australia. We have taken reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that Microsoft handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we may need them, including to meet record-keeping obligations that apply to credit assistance and to deal with any later question or complaint about a matter. We do not set a fixed deletion period.
If you would like your enquiry deleted, contact us and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
How we protect it
Enquiries are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in an Azure storage account that is not publicly reachable and is accessible only to the people who need it. Access is granted through our own Azure tenancy rather than shared credentials, and your IP address is hashed rather than stored, as described above.
No system is immune. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period. There is no charge for making a request; if a request takes substantial work to fulfil we will tell you the cost before we start.
We will ask you to verify your identity before we release anything, for obvious reasons.
If you have a privacy complaint
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please raise it with us first — email contact@victorianlending.com.au or call 04 35 35 36 36. We will acknowledge your complaint and tell you who is dealing with it.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or by calling 1300 363 992.
Contacting us
Email contact@victorianlending.com.au, call 04 35 35 36 36, or write to us at Suite 6 / 45 Tallis Court, Truganina VIC or 1040A North Road, Bentleigh East VIC 3165.
This policy is effective from 8 September 2026. We will update it when our handling of personal information changes, and the effective date above will change with it.
